Habit building and goal setting; what do you want to get and how are you going to get it!
A problem that we have with encouraging ourselves to remain consistent with an intention or goal we have set ourselves is that we sometimes try to undertake to big a change too quickly and this can be unrealistic.
Sometimes it is important to remember to also reduce things and cut back in some areas to allow more space.
To achieve a goal/build a habit, motivation levels required and ability to achieve need to both be low to enable us to achieve and then we (the hardest part for some people, myself included) need to celebrate these!
So….to make a habit stick we need to make it small and easy to do; then we can then build up. Another great way to achieve something is to pair a new habit with current habit or behaviour that you already undertake……
Be prepared for bumps, setbacks and days that things just don't go according to plan, these happen to everyone and it's just a case of being kind to yourself remembering it is completely normal and then try again.
SO HERE’S TO THE SMALL CHANGES OR EVEN THE CUTTING BACK!
